This dealer exhibition coinciding with the 4th International Conference on Oriental Carpets is one of the best of Raymond Benardout’s several publications and has excellent color reproduction. The book is divided into seven sections: Classical, Chinese, Persian, Belouch, Caucasian, Turkish and Turkoman. Each is prefaced with a brief essay contributed by a rug collector specializing in his respective field. The rugs include a few world-class pieces as well as very good examples of their kind, several of which are particularly beautiful and rare.
